Discover Water updated with 2016/17 information

The water sector’s dashboard of information, DiscoverWater.co.uk, DiscoverWater.co.uk, has been updated with the latest information from water companies, Ofwat, Drinking Water Inspectorate, Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and Consumer Council for Water.

The website provides a simple and engaging way for customers to see how their water company is performing and compare it to others. There is a comprehensive range of data available, spanning water quality, public health, customer service and the environmental aspects of water and sewerage services. It also provides general information about how water and sewerage services operate, including the processes undertaken to get water to and from our homes.

Discover Water was delivered through a collaborative project, including the water sector’s regulators and consumer watchdog, which focused on providing unbiased, reliable content that consumers can trust.

Michael Roberts, Chief Executive, Water UK said: "Households in England and Wales on average spend £395 a year on water and sewerage, so it is right that they should understand what they are getting for their money.

"Discover Water combines unbiased industry-level and company-by-company information on the issues that customers say matter to them. We hope it leads to more people getting involved in how their water and sewerage services are run."
