Water UK Chief Executive, Michael Roberts, has responded to the Labour Party’s comments (11th February) about water companies’ profits.

The water industry is continuing to play its part in the delivery of new homes in the UK by maintaining its high standards of services to developers. Levels of service performance were at 98% for water supply and 99% for sewerage for July to September 2016.

The water industry is helping to speed up the building of new homes by meeting its recently introduced standards for providing a range of services to developers over 95% of the time.

Now in its 16th year, the Water UK City Conference on Wednesday 2 March is the foremost financial event for the water sector, bringing together the industry's leaders with regulators and government bodies, investors, analysts, ratings agencies and City institutions to discuss future finance and investment.
