Affinity Water is piloting a new customer services apprenticeship for four people at the company’s contact centre in Folkestone. The scheme leads to an NVQ Level 2 after one year and an NVQ Level 3 at the conclusion of the two year apprenticeship.
Affinity Water worked with Kent County Council and Shepway District Council in planning the apprenticeships, with both councils providing support funding.
All the trainees come from the Shepway area and the company is keen to secure local staff. More than 40 applied for the sought-after positions, which were quickly filled only a fortnight after they were advertised.
