The Patients Association is a charitable organisation providing patients with an opportunity to raise concerns and share experiences of healthcare.
We use the knowledge we gain from patients to work with the NHS, healthcare providers and a range of other organisations to improve services. The Patients Association believes that drinking enough water is vital to good health and patient recovery. Unless medical conditions specifically prevent it, free, fresh, well presented water should be available to hospital patients, to staff and to visitors throughout their day. It should be presented with the same energy and enthusiasm as the other key components of nutrition, and be offered regularly.
