Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence (ERIC) is a national registered charity (1002424) which provides advice and information to younger children, teenagers, parents and professionals on the common and stressful condition of nocturnal enuresis or bedwetting.

ERIC also offers advice on childhood day-time wetting and soiling. Established in 1988, it is the only organisation of its kind in the UK - and the first in the world.

ERIC is the founder and organiser of the national Water is Cool in School campaign and joint organiser of the national Bog Standard campaign. Both campaigns aim to raise the quality of provision and access to drinking water and toilets for all pupils in UK schools.

ERIC's mission statement

ERIC exists to reduce the incidence of bedwetting, day-time wetting and associated conditions and the suffering it causes to children and young people in the UK

Over half a million children in this country regularly wet the bed. For most it is a ‘dark secret’ that shatters their self-confidence and reduces career and social opportunities.
