Opinion of the Scientific Committee on Toxicity, Ecotoxicity and the Environment (CSTEE) on the setting of Environmental Quality Standards

The Setting of Environmental Quality Standards for the Priority Substances - Article 16. Adopted by the CSTEE during the 43 plenary meeting of 28 May 2004

The CSTEE is not convinced that, for a number of the priority susbstances, the data used for setting the EQS are adequate or have been appropriately screened for quality and relevance. The CSTEE's detailed opinions on each of the susbstances are given from pages 20 to 32 of the attached document.
