The annual report showing how the water industry is performing in a range of areas related to customers, the environment and society
There has been significant progress in areas that are high priority for customers but also contribute to long-term security of supply and service delivery:
• continuing high levels of drinking water quality
• fewer interruptions to supply and low pressure problems
• lower risk of sewer flooding.
There are, however, challenges for the sector, specifically around energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, although the true picture will not be available until there are number of years' data under the current reporting methodologies.
