Cave Review Interim Report

19/11/08

An interim report has been published of the work carried out by Professor Martin Cave on his independent review of competition and innovation in the water industry.

The report - all 143 pages of it - covers a very wide range of issues. The review team is clearly engaging fully with stakeholders and analysing the subject from a wide perspective.

In its response to the original call for evidence by the Review team Water UK supported the objectives Government had set for the water industry in its strategy document Future Water and its recognition that competition and innovation were means to an end and not ends in themselves.
