Metering strategy: looking ahead

Anne McIntosh, Shadow Minister for Environment Water and Waste, will present the Conservative vision on water resources and metering at the industry-led Metering Symposium on 16 September.

This high-level event will also hear from a senior representative of the independent Walker Review of Charging and Metering, which reported interim findings for consultation in June.

Jean Spencer, Director of Regulation and Executive Director, Anglian Water Group, will provide an industry perspective on delivering of a metering strategy that is sustainable and cost effective

The symposium will be chaired by Chris Loughlin, Chief Executive. Other speakers include: George Archibald, Chairman Intelligent Metering Initiative (IMI); Karen Gibbs, Metering Policy Manager, Consumer Council for Water; Scott Reid, Director, ICS Consulting; Dr Robert Thurlby, Strategy and Consulting Director, AgbarSerco;Jacob Tompkins, Director, Waterwise; Neal Warren, Metering Strategy Manager, Northumbrian Water Group plc; and Rob Westcott, Strategic Supply & Demand Manager, Environment Agency.
