The OECD report Innovation Strategy: Getting a Head Start on Tomorrow emphasises the importance of innovation for economic growth, and the UK government is preparing a White Paper to give direction and aid the process.
For water, innovation will be invaluable in tackling major challenges the sector faces: higher water quality, affordability, decarbonisation and adaption to climate change.
Innovation Hub 2011 will debate and work towards defining a strategy for innovation in water and utilities, with senior figures from the water sector and other regulated industries attending.
