Eight stakeholder groups representing customers, regulators, water and sewerage companies, and government this month published the report 'Deliberative Research concerning Consumers' Priorities for PR09'.
Reducing leakage, maintaining current levels of water quality and meeting future demand for water were customers’ priorities, along with ensuring that bills are affordable.
The research was the second of three surveys that will feed into the 2009 price review. The final phase, in the autumn, will seek consumer views on the proposals that companies have set out in their draft business plans, now in preparation and set to be published in August.
