While some sectors have faced an investment drought, in the UK, water has remained a relatively attractive investment proposition.
This week’s Investing in Infrastructure conference underlined the significance of a stable regulatory environment in maintaining investor appetite, and it was encouraging to hear Scottish government plans to use a regulatory asset base investment model for national infrastructure.
Putting our limited investment resources to the best possible use depends on strong communication between government and infrastructure providers, so that resilient, co-ordinated infrastructure investment is well aligned with government priorities. This means working together as delivery partners and focusing on the core strategic issues.
