The European Commission has published an open consultation on water efficiency in buildings.
The Commission is looking at different levels of improvement to the water performance of buildings, among them water-saving devices, water-efficient construction, design and renovations, and measuring a building's performance.
The Buildings’ Water Efficiency initiative is a building block of the review of the policy on water scarcity and drought, and the consultation will run until February. A set of measures will be proposed in the first half of 2012.
