A web-based consultation for the 'Fitness check of freshwater policy' will inform the EU Blueprint for Water, to be published next year. Results of the consultation, carried out this month, will be discussed at a workshop in Brussels in May.
The fitness check is an important opportunity to take a fresh look at how we manage water in Europe: what works and what doesn’t and how we can make improvements for the benefit of the environment, customers and the economy in these difficult times.
We hope that member state governments and stakeholders will respond constructively on the basis of their experience and offer some new ideas.
