The Environment Agency's draft corporate strategy 2010-2015 aims to create a better place for people and wildlife in five themes with water naturally prominent in several.
The EA's emphasis is on climate change as the biggest challenge and overriding theme. This makes sense, as does consideration of water alongside air and land in acknowledgement that effective action can no longer be taken in media 'silos'.
"People and communities at the heart" does well to focus on local links and local management. "Working with business and the public sector" offers a comprehensive overview, but on closer consideration seems a little less complete: the only business sector named in the drive for wiser use of resources is (surprise, surprise) water.
