2009 climate change projections in practice

Following the release of the latest UK projections, Water UK hosted the first 'Projections in Practice' event to consider impact on the water sector and how to incorporate the new information into planning effectively and quickly.

Whether we are facing reduced availability, increased risk of flooding or greater seasonal demand for an increasingly valuable resource, water is at the forefront of climate change.

That makes effective and sustainable adaptation an imperative.

Equally, few other sectors that have the experience and expertise to ensure that the impacts are understood and acted upon. When it comes to climate change, the water industry must continue to lead the way.
