Investing in Infrastructure
Ensuring long-term financeability for UK infrastructure - investment challenges, structural change and sustainability
Estimates of the level of investment needed in UK infrastructure by 2020 range up to £400 billion. These vast sums are needed, not only to address historic underinvestment, but to secure the essential transition to the low carbon economy.
Water UK's Investing in Infrastructure conference will create a forum for debate around the funding requirements across all UK economic infrastructure.
Heidi Mottram, Chief Executive Officer of Northumbrian Water will be chairing the event, and key presentations on the day will explore: optimising industry structure to maximise investment in sustainable infrastructure; investor perspectives on infrastructure investment including factors impacting the appeal of different infrastructure classes to financial providers; equity, debt providers' and institutional investors' perspectives; water, energy, transport and telecoms infrastructure sector responses to long term investment challenges.
Throughout the day there will be opportunities to ask questions, contribute your thinking and network with senior industry representatives, regulators, government and stakeholders.
